cwēn is a dating advisor for men, built entirely on what real women said, not on guesses. You bring it a situation, and it tells you what that situation actually tends to mean and what tends to land, drawing on a growing dataset of how women read dating behaviour. Here’s how the whole thing fits together.
The problem it exists to solve
Most dating advice for men is guesswork. It’s written by people imagining what women want, then sold with confidence. Research is fairly unkind to that approach: people are unreliable reporters of their own preferences, stated ideals predict real attraction poorly, and tone gets lost in text far more than we realise. In other words, the standard sources are built on exactly the things that don’t hold up. cwēn is an attempt to replace the guess with evidence.
How it works, end to end
It runs on two sides that feed each other.
Women take a short behavioural survey about how they actually read dating situations: what a slow reply lands as, how they tell interest from politeness, how they read pace and silence. Their answers build a dataset of how behaviour is actually interpreted, not what anyone says they want in the abstract. In return, each woman gets her own read at the end, her own pattern reflected back.
Men bring real situations to the advisor and get a read grounded in that data, plus the reasoning behind it. Not a script, and not a verdict on a specific woman, but what a situation like this tends to mean and why, so the man gets better at reading the next one himself.
The more women contribute, the sharper the data, the better the advice, which draws more of both. The survey is the engine and the advice is the output.
What it isn’t
It isn’t a pickup coach, and it isn’t a bank of lines or tricks. It doesn’t claim to decode any individual woman, because a person isn’t a code to crack. It measures how behaviour tends to be read across many real women, and hands that back as literacy rather than tactics.
